The ultimate case for the ultimate super-hero franchise: The Avengers! This is the start of an epic (and no doubt lucrative) silver screen journey by Marvel Studios, sure to span a few decades. I was already a fan of Iron Man and the Avengers as a child in the 1980s. I was extremely excited when Iron Man finally made it to the big screen, and even more so when the 'after-credit teasers' hinted at all these heroes coming together for an unprecedented team-up! I must say that Kevin Feige (one of the masterminds behind Marvel Studios) is a genius. Now on to the box set itself. The actual case is of a decent design. A bit more cartoony and gaudy compared to the original design used in the movie. The original case being designed by that greedy luggage company that should remain nameless. Needless to say, I have never bought anything from that company, and now will actively avoid them. There is a little button on top of the case that makes the SHIELD logo light up when pressed. The interior lights up as depicted in the picture when you open up the case, then automatically shuts off when closed. The LED lights are powerful and give off an eerie glow. Well done in the effects department. The Tesseract is cool but a little cheap-looking. I would have preferred something a little more translucent to mimic the object in the movies. This one is opaque-white. It has two levels of flashing when you tap it against your palm. Note: you need to tap quite hard! I thought it was broken initially because I was tapping too gently and nothing was happening. The fake circuitry and buttons in the case also looked a little cheap, but it's adequate for the money. The reproduced 'classified files' on each of the characters is where I am impressed. They contain near-perfect replicas of newspaper clippings, ID badges, photographs, research documents, drivers licenses, schematics of the various heroes in all 6 movies. They are a perfect compliment to the movies! I especially enjoyed the application forms, rejection letters, sketches and photos of Steve Rogers from the Captain America movie. There is even a 'top secret' special sealed package for the latest SHIELD recruit (that would be you) to open up and decipher. If and when you figure it out, you will have the privilege to uncover additional classified data! Not too difficult to figure out, so I won't give it away. I thought this was a neat touch. And they didn't include instructions to spoon-feed it either. It's a genuine find-the-clue exercise. For those who complain about the quality of the materials used for the actual case: this is where the money was spent. And it was worth it. Many more hours of enjoyment beyond the movies. My only gripe is that the blu-rays are housed in cardboard sleeves. The artwork and designs on the sleeves are actually well-done, but I would rather the discs be protected and secured in proper plastic cases. It feels kind of unfinished that so much effort was put into designing and producing all the various pieces for the set, only to have the discs in cardboard. Overall I would still have to give it a 5 star rating due to the impressive extras, but if the discs had proper cases and the Tesseract were better-designed, it would actually be PERFECT!

Took many of the best features of season one and expertly expanded on those themes. for those who dont know, the killing hinges mostly on the determination of a pint sized female detective, on her way, repeatedly, out of town to get married before she commits and recommits to solving rosie larsen’s murder. turns out our heroine has somewhat of a checkered background, herself, not entirely related to an investigation of a similar crime years earlier. linden is partnered up with an (ex) meth head, street wise, kind of punked out, and thoroughly imperfect detective holder. he makes plenty of mistakes in trying to hold up his end of the investigation. Ultimately, what makes the killing so effective is not simply the twists and turns you’d expect of a conventional whodunit, in this case expertly served up in a virtually perfect seattle; in the end, its the drama that does it. a culmination of the acting, direction, narrative progression, and music that sets the killing apart from many pretenders to the throne of first class televesion serial drama. Each episode ends in a vignette, punctuated by variations in the musical score and including close up shots on the actors in various poses, that literally spell out the thinking and emotional processes that must lead to the resolution of the drama. Really well thought out from top to bottom, and expertly executed in a way you have never quite seen before. In many ways, as good as many other serial dramas on cable, including dexter, breaking bad, walking dead, lost, etc. great casting, the two lead detectives, again, are as flawed as their investigation, joel kinnerman and mirielle enos, both excellent, dimensions revealed in both that were only hinted at in season one. Brent sexton continues with a series of superb performances, billy Campbell not as significant role as season one, but still, plenty to say. Good thing, on the one hand, the riddle is answered in season two. Bad news is, catching the killer means the season must come to end. Which it does, emotionally, in a riveting closing sequence that places many of the broader emotional issues underlying the mystery in itself most clearly into focus. Not for the kids. But dramatically, nearly as good as anything on television the past several years. Vital, seminal, visceral –first rate drama. Two thumbs way up, hated that it had to end…

I gave the movie the highest rating excellent because it is one of the the best movie this year. I saw this movie last night . The Green Lantern Ring picks a human to be one of the guardians of the universe for the first time ever. When pure evil reaches Earth, the battle begins. The action, the story and the special FX. are top of the line. Can't wait for the next Green Lantern movie. A must see and a must own. I was sort of a fan of the comic book, but the movie and the story line are so good I will soon be a real fan. Well written and well directed.

Excellent continuation of a popular series for those working Mothers; stay at home Fathers; and most other adults. This is a very tasteful production, the characters interaction is superb. I was hooked from the jump. The name sounds alarming, but the plot and marvel that the storyline can continue without running anything into the ground or making ridiculous scenarios. Most all issues are real in almost all neighborhoods; whether we want to admit or not. I give this a top 5 out of 5 rating. Good Job!

This movie, albeit one with elements of humor, is one that is again over rated. Brad Pitt is not impressive here, and is definitely upstaged by his co star who should have received top billing. Save your money for The Book of Eli when it becomes available. Denzel Washington earns his accolades; Brad Pitt, however, expects his name to carry them to him, and it doesn't, at least for me.

It deserves more than the one star rating for entertainment value, iot is ambiguous because educationalkly speaking it is suitable to learn what young Americans paid for the freedom we have today but the horror of the way those young men suffered and died was overwhelming for younger or semsitiove vioewers. Cliont is top notch at what he does, but keep in mind, it is raw horror in places

Costner does it again. This film has it all: Intense thrills, sweeping cinematography, meaningful dialog (some lost on the deleted scenes), and a bit of humor. Set in the "last days of the cattle drives," Robert Duvall & Costner are brilliant. The casting is well rounded. This film rates high on my TOP 10 WESTERNS of all time.

Very funny movie. One of Tom Hanks top rated comedy in this viewer's eyes. Definately one for the whole family to see. Hanks works wonders with a non-speaking co-star. All around acting for the cast in this flick.

Will Ferrell is at his best in this movie. The overall cast is in top form as well. given some of the language and what I call "potty-mouth humor" I can not give this a 5 star rating for suitability for all ages. I'm not about to let my 9 year old watch it.

This movie, in my opinion, is a great sci-fi movie. Even though it may be rather predictable, the graphics in this movie are far better than I expected them to be. Overall acting is good to me. Not the top acting, but still enough to be in my favorite movies category. As for the little kids, it all depends on how much you let your kids see. If they are used to just about anything, then this is well within age limits for the younger kids. However, if you're more on the strict side with your children, there are a couple of scenes that may need to be explained to younger children. I do not recommend this movie for under the age of maybe 8 years of age. My overall rating would be a 9.9 for this one. Very nice work from the producers on this one. :). .:Dacheleigh:.
Video games are one of the hottest forms of entertainment on the market. Top-selling video games often make more money than the most popular Hollywood blockbusters. Like movies, they are created and marketed for audiences that range from toddlers to mature adults. To protect those audiences, the Entertainment Software Rating Board, established in 1994, rates the content of all video games so consumers can make informed decisions. The ratings are composed of two parts: age-appropriateness and content descriptors. This article answers some of the most frequently asked questions about video game ratings.
