My daughter, who is only 5 1/2, loves dinosaurs. I introduced her to Godzilla 2000 about 2ys ago. Now that she is in kindergarten, she wants to be Godzilla when she grows up. Even though this DVD is in Japenese, we both love it. It has english subtitles but all you really need is to watch the picture to know what's happening. Great series

Good price. Shipped quickly. Some of the box sets have an older disk in them. Go to the Criterion colleciton website to ask for a new one.

I first saw this movie by coincidence on cable. I had never heard of it before. It was very entertaining and many parts kept you guessing as to what was really the intentions of the main character played by Kirk Douglas. Kirk Douglas plays an eccentric millionaire trying to decide who should inherit his money and estate while he is still living because he fears he is losing his memory. His relatives are all phony and he knows it. Michael Fox plays his estranged nephew who is summoned by the other relatives to convince the old man to give his estate to them, however, the old guy decides to give it to the nephew and then the sparks really begin to fly. All the members of my family enjoyed this movie so much they all bought a copy for themselves. I highly recommend it!

What can I say? I LOVE this movie! I grew up watching it at my grandmother's on VHS and now that I'm grown with 4 boys, I love it even more. Kirk Douglas (Ned) is as effervescent and charming as ever and James Mason (Captain Nemo), is superb. This movie is full of adventure and a delight to watch every time! The DVD quality is great and I wouldn't hesitate to gift this to any family I know. I think it makes an excellent Christmas gift for almost anyone. And the price is great! A "Whale of a Tale!"

This is one of the best films ever made. A great translation of the rock opera Quadrophenia by The Who. It doesn't go to the extremes like Ken Russell's Tommy. It is an excellent study of individuality and tribalism and the isolation within both. How does one remain a individual while being part of a tribe? Do we try to stand out by being part of a group? How much of our identity do we lose to the group? Excellent soundtrack with the music of The Who and 50's & 60's rock. Like the film Two Lane Blacktop, DVD's and VHS copies of this film commanded high prices on auction and other sites so I was glad to see that the film was given the Criterion Collection treatment.

When we first saw this movie, we were astonished. We had never seen Kirk Douglas in any but serious roles. This movie is one of our all-time favorites. The Roadrunner takeoff is brilliant.

this movie is one of my all time favorites of all time! The cast is amazing, (Gwyneth Paltrow, Bill Murray, Angelica Huston, Gene Hackman, Danny Glover, Ben Stiller, and Luke and Owen Wilson), the cinematography and soundtrack are superb. The script is one to die for. Couldn't ask for more from Wes Anderson. It's a movie everyone should purchase and watch!
