Solo pianist Mia Jang`s sophomore effort finds her marrying her classical training to the dictates of New Age instrumentals with excellent results. Soothing, soft, and decorative, without ever lapsing into over-simplicity or sentimentality, Jang`s piano compositions are thoughtful, elegantly constructed, and pleasing to the ear. Jang`s prowess as a pianist may not bowl listeners over; yet that is precisely the appeal of WATER CIRCLES.
