I bought this book after lamenting if it would be worth reading at all. I had just lost my lab of 9 years and love the memories I had. With that said, I didn't think any story of someone else's lab could touch me as much. This book has made me laugh, made me cry and most of all appreciate the story of my own dog's adventures and missteps, and I am not even done reading it yet! It is a wonderfully written book that any dog lover could relate to. The price was also better than I found anywhere and it arrived very quickly. Overstock.com is my new bookstore!

A MUST READ FOR ANYONE WHO HAS EVER LOVED A DOG
.MY BELOVED MUTT OF 15 YEARS WAS LOST TO THIS ILLNESS LAST YEAR.
A FRIEND BROUGHT ME THE BOOK AND I LAUGHED AND CRIED MY WAY THROUGH KNOWING THAT I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE TO GO THROUGH THIS.

This book was pure entertainment and joy for an animal lover like me!! I have passed it around to many of my friends, and we all agree that this book makes you laugh and cry out loud!! It's amazing how a dog can steal your heart and become part of the family. I did not want this book to end!

This is a must read for anyone who has ever owned-or wanted a dog. This is my new favorite book of all time! I laughed so hard I couldn't see the pages and cried so hard that I couldn't see again. It is so well written and down to earth. I felt as I were experiencing every page with the author.

I absolutely loved this book! We bought our first lab as a puppy and so much of this reminded me of our loyal pet. Wonderful sarcasm/wit that you know comes from the writers heart and love for the dog.

The book was great.
Ordering it from overstock.com I got it at a very resonable price. I was reaally upset I couldnt give it as a gift though because the jacket on the book was all messed up. It looked like it was used. I would not recomend buying books from overstock.com because they just put ot in the box with the rest of what you order. They don't wrap it or anything and it get messed up from the other products brushing up against it and hitting it.

Very well written. Easy reading. It brought me to tears a few times, but had me laughing out loud much more. I am one who enjoys reading REAL stories rather than fiction, so I appreciated the author's ability to convey the "genuine-ness" of it all. As a dog lover, myself, I could easily indentify with his feelings. A really good read.

I laughed, I cried, I loved this book. After adopting a dog already named Marley from the shelter, I really had to read this book. Luckily, our Marley is not the same mischievous, neurotic dog as the original Marley!
