Love Love Poems from God
I gave this book to my boyfriend as part of a Christmas gift. He has really enjoyed reading about love from the perspectives of different poets and spiritual writers. There are some serious selections, but there are also light-hearted pieces. It's a great gift for someone who likes poetry and finding connections between God-love and human-love.

It is a beautiful change of perspective in the way one interacts with and considers one's relationship with God. In a world that often paints God as judgmental and religion as black and white, the poetry in this book portrays one's relationship with God and the world as deeply intimate and caring. Featuring thoughts from great spiritual thinkers from around the world representing several different religious traditions, this makes a great gift for anyone.

This is the best book of poetry I have every encountered. I sat laughing and crying simultaneously as I read. I bought 5 and gave them to friends for the holidays. All the poets write about the God I know: a god of love (not hate) that rejoices in our love of life (not fear: unlike so many religious institutions today). Peace.
