If you like real-life themes then you will like this movie. It is not (they wouldn't like it anyway) a movie for children. I thought Susan Sarandon and Nick Nolte were superb in this one but the subject is not for the "faint of heart" as it is a very informative movie and tells the whole story even the most difficult parts. It really gets you thinking and gives you a true picture of life with a disabled child. It also gives you some of the technical aspects of treatment. Give it a try.
