  this book was purchased as a gift for my neice who is 9. She immediately was drawn to it and settled in to work on it. I spent some time going over the messages and reinforcing them, but overall it was a great choice and at the price, money well spent.

  I was lucky to get an early release book at a conference and actually met Dr. Davis. He is as brilliant as he is warm and open to discussions with graduate and PhD students. His book's semiotic analysis put a spin on my own research trajectory and will certainly be an invaluable source for my own work. He makes a clear, innovative and well-reasoned argument and presents English literature and its relationship to the Sidney family in an entirely new context. Very stimulating read and I might have some of my undergrads read chapters from the book.

  I'm still reading it so it's hard to give a thorough review, but what I've read so far seems to be very helpful. You would think after reading all your life you know how to do it, but this puts a new slant on the whole subject.
