    • Great Book!

I ordered two copies of this book on December 11th, 2009 to give as Christmas gifts and was unable to because they arrived after the New Year. I am always hesitant about ordering from Overstock because items never arrive on time and they make it pretty difficult to stop or cancel an order.

    • Necessary Read

This is a wonderful summary of truth concerning the bedrock principles of why our nation is so unique. For centuries she has been a city on a hill in this world, a bastion of freedom / liberty as well as symbol of economic strength and endurance. Such qualities as a nation are not automatically so, but exist only through the maintaining of these principles which Mr. Levin brings to focus. This book opens one's eyes to see just how dangerous the present liberal counter revolution truly is, and, the ugly tyranny of unwarranted laws and regulations, the loss of liberty it promises to leave in its fascist wake. Yes, it is a wonderful and clear conservative manifesto that all who run as a conservative should read. But even more important, it is a simple, clear wakeup call for all America to read - to the man-child (adult child) insanity we now have in Washington, D.C. and the enduring implications for our children's children.

    • Great read

Mark Levin is a highly-educated man and believes strongly in the Constitution and ways of our Founding Fathers. A worthy and page-turning read for anyone regardless of political views. Highly recommended.

  • Conservative talk show host Levin launches a somewhat rambling indictment of liberalism in this book that pillories liberals for undermining the Constitution and individual freedoms. In a series of screeds, the author rails against the expected bogeymen (big government, big spending, environmentalism) and argues that conservative values are the surest prophylactic against what he regards as an increasingly tyrannical American government. Adam Grupper proves to be the ideal reader for the material; his calm and measured tone remains steady even as Levin's critiques reach their shrillest pitch. His unruffled delivery grounds the occasional bursts of hysteria, and his matter-of-fact newscaster's delivery buttresses Levin's argument. Listeners on any end of the spectrum will appreciate the efficiency of Grupper's reading. A Threshold hardcover. (Mar.) (c) Copyright PWxyz, LLC. All rights reserved
