This is the first romantic comedy I saw Matthew Goode in--having enjoyed the movie a lot, I wanted to know who the actor was, convinced he was some Irish unknown. Nope, he's British, and was now on my radar. This being Leap Year, it was time to give it another watch. When Goode showed up in Season 5 of Downton Abbey I thought, at last, they have a good match for Lady Mary. This is just a fun romance.
I saw this movie at the theatre, loved it. I wanted to have it in my collection of movies so I could watch over and over again. The story line is great, and the scenery of Ireland is beautiful.

The story is OK, the scenery is beautiful. I vacationed in that area a short while ago, and it seemed to me that the Irish country was definitely a supporting character in the film, but it can't help but grab you. The country was beautiful and the people were absolutely lovely and this is something that really shows through in the film. If you like romantic comedies you will probably like this movie, but if you love Ireland you will like it as well.
