buey from San Diego, Ca., Rating:5.0A must read! Refreshing to read from an author not compromised by corporations, he tells the truth. Exposes those that are destroying democracy as feared by our founding fathers. We really are in a sad state of affairs. Everyone in Congress (except for a few minority) are bought by corporate $. We the common citizens really do need to take our country back from these right wing fanaticals! May God have mercy on these robbers!

dukeambition from Raleigh, NC, Rating:3.0This handbook is generally acceptable and useful in studying the Federal Rules of Evidence. However, on December 1, 2011, the Restyled Rules will go into effect. The new rules do not substantively change those rules set forth in the 2010-2011 version, but the structure and language have been changed to make the rules more understandable. The rule numbers remain the same. The newer edition, Courtroom Evidence Handbook, 2011-2012, contains both the current rules as well as the Restyled Rules. I would still recommend the 2010-2011 version to anyone learning the FRE this year and next, so long as the reader or student understands that the Restyled Rules will go into effect on December 1, 2011.

3toothcleaner from Chicago, IL, Rating:4.0Although I did not agree with everything the author discussed. She has some very valid arguments. The book is a slightly complexed read, but it is worth the effort. It at least makes one aware of what is going on it today's judicial system.
