amirahsaleem from TX, Rating:5.0My 10-year old son always complained about using our family dictionary for homework. He loves his new dictionary, it is much easier for him to locate the words and it has definitions that are understandable and age appropriate.

wuchay from NC, Rating:4.0This book is used almost every day with homeschooling. We don't do anything special...kids just naturally wonder where words come from and this book has the answers. Great reference book for any age. Looking things up in it is much more fun than using the internet-one word in the book naturally leads you to another...and another. Good quality and information.

stevearrants from Burlington VT, Rating:5.0While Garner's Modern American Usage is an essential book in my line of work, I will not be ordering from Overstock again. The book looks like it was stuck in a dusty room. The outside of the pages are gray with dirt, the dust jacket is dusty....I don't want the hassle of returning the book, so I'll live with it.

jlwhydra from Albany, NY, Rating:4.0This book breaks down to one topic per chapter. At the end of each chapter are some writing prompts for ideas. This is a good book for beginners at poetry writing.
