What else can you say about KISS`s trail of hard-rock hits? At this point, the face-painted rockers once thought by some parents as a dangerous influence are as much a part of the cultural landscape as baseball and apple pie. The gimmick behind IKONS is that the four discs are divided into 14 track sets sung by each member respectively. Disc 1 features blood-spewing tongue lord Gene Simmons, and includes standards like the hard-rock anthem "Rock and Roll All Nite" and primitive come-on "Calling Dr. Love." Disc 2 belongs to pretty-boy Paul Stanley and ends with his possible career zenith, "I Was Made for Lovin` You," their "disco" song. Disc 3 belongs to guitar god Ace Frehley and encompasses hard-hitting "Snow Blind" and "Rip It Out." Disc 4 is drummer Peter Criss`s, featuring his smash power ballad, "Beth," and the sleazy hooker jam, "Black Diamond."
