As a latter-day holiday album from Kenny Rogers, The Gift isn`t half bad, thanks to the professional production and Rogers` honeyed voice, but it does suffer from uneven material and the occasional indifferent performance. There are enough good moments here to make it worthwhile for hardcore Kenny fans, but not enough to make it of interest to less dedicated listeners. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

I think this is one of the most beautiful CD's I've ever purchased. My husband urged me to buy it when we heard a small portion of it at a friends home.

Kenny Rogers The Gift
This is probably the best Christmas CD I have ever purchased. First of all, Kenny Rogers has always had a beautiful voice, but , this CD is for all ages, does not try to be politically correct with Happy Holidays instead of Christmas, It tells the story of the Christ Child and what the true meaning of Christmas is. It is a must for the Christmas Season, and is Special to be played year around. People, this is what life is all about! If something happens to this one, I will definitely replace it. I work nights, so to keep the noise out, I fall asleep listening to this CD. What a blessing it has been to me.
