This is an absolutely superb translation of Darwyn Cooke's "New Frontier" graphic novel, with only two caveats: The first is that it's just too darn short. There's so much in the comic that could have been included, and at 77 minutes, the DVD seems almost a cheat. The other is that there are a lot of characters introduced and seen who will be unknown to viewers who don't have at least a passing knowledge of DC's Silver Age. While it's always good to see Adam Strange, for example, he's never introduced or seen doing much other than blasting monsters.
Except for these quibbles, this is an extremely entertaining and fun look back at a era that many of us miss, featuring DC's iconic heroes being exactly that. I couldn't recommend it more.
