Excellent ensemble film with tears and laughter. Helps to know something about Austen to gain full value of dialogue.

JANE AUSTIN FOR MEN TOO
LOVED this movie! had never heard of Jane Austin before - and yes i DID go to college - abyway - this movie is wonderful! TOTALLY loved the relationships and hugh Dancy is gorgeous in this role! Not oly physically, but his character is so joyous I wanted to date him myself! If you want to feel good, be enterained and still feel smart about it - THIS movie is for you! From start to finish - JABC is a perfect 10!

The Jane Austen Book Club
This is probably not a movie that very young children would relate to, or even teenagers. However, for those who are at least 30 or older, I think that they would really enjoy it. The thought that men would actually join a traditionally women's book club was rather original, but not very believable. Otherwise, it was an entertaining movie. I happen to have read all of Jane Austen's books and she has a gentility and grace that I didn't much find in the characters in this movie but that could be explained by the time period in which she lived being so different from what it is like now.
