This book is very informational and honest in training your pet. I have used some of the techniques and my dog responds wonderfully. I highly recommend this book to everyone!!!

I have a Norwegian Elkhound Puppy, my second & they are notoriously... shall we say independent. No amount of training has ever been easy or completely productive... until now. I am not a believer in harsh discipline when trying to guide and teach puppies how to live with humans, so this book was inviting from the beginning. Victoria has an amazing insight into the canine behavior and why they do what they do... and she expresses it in very understanding ways. I recommend this book to owners of new puppies as well as veteran puppy families.......

I liked it, sound information, but there was less than I expected. I wanted more. If you have seen the TV show, there really was nothing new.

I like Vicotria Stillwell's show "Its Me or the Dog" so I knew I had to read her book. I found it easy to read and a very helpful refresher. I enjoyed the section on canine body language and her positive approach to training. I would recommend it to anyone with dogs or thinking about getting a dog.

This is a very informative book for dog owners! I like Victoria's views on disapline and training. She understands the way dogs think, and in return, they listen, and are easier to train. You can tell she loves dogs, and doesnt just treat them like some other trainers that seem to just want to dominate dogs.
