    HAVING LIVED IN SHANGHAI FOR TEN YEARS I CAN SAY WITH SOME DEGREE OF KNOWLEDGE THAT THESE DUMPLINGS ARE THE REAL THING WITHOUT HAVING TO GO ALL THE WAY TO CHINA TO GET THE INGREDIENTS. MOST CHINESE DUMPLING BOOKS ARE NOT AUTHENTIC, EASY AND JUST PLAIN TASTY LIKE THE RECIPES IN MS. WONG'S BOOK. ENJOY!

  • Wasn't too thrilled with the recipes in this book

    I was disappointed with the boring recipes Todd included in his 3rd book. None of the recipes call out to me like his lst two books. I have used his lst two books so much they are falling apart. This book however, included recipes that I probably won't make, so it will more than likely gather dust.

    This cookbook was a wonderful purchase! It was on sale which made it even sweeter! You will love this cookbook if you like down home recipes. The ingredients are easily found in the grocery. The book also tells about her life and family on the ranch. I watch her show on food network every Saturday. Her recipes are simple yet delicious! You will fall in love with the recipes as well as her family and cute kids! There are also plenty of color photos. Buying this book was a no brainer, I love it!

    Chef Jim is obviously a true pro and a very learned historian. He has done his homework, as his father and his father before him. You will see once you get into this marvelous cookbook. I am thrilled to be able to make economical, simple recipes that just scream comfort food. I look forward to his next book and his blog suggests he may be coming to a network. Once only hopes.

    Although I love the cover and pictures, not sure how much use I will get out of this cookbook as the recipes are very foreign in taste. But it is still a beautiful book to have displayed along with all my other cookbooks!
