  • Home Ballet Lesson

    Mar 19, 2012

    patriciajunkins  from Lillian, AL, Rating:5.0

My daughter has two little girls (5 and 2) and cannot afford taking the girls to dance lessons right now. They get dressed up in tutus and do their ballet lessons with this DVD. It's perfect for introducing children to Ballet without taking expensive lessons. They can do it on their own time and practice whenever they want.

This is an excellent DVD. It is from Brainy Baby and it is worth whatever the price. We are not impared, however, our child was really stubborn and did not want to talk. She watched Talking Hands and it helps her to communicate with us as well as talk. She knew the sign language to eat, play, more, please, thank you, help, off, on and car before she was 2 years old. We understand her more when she talks because she is using the sign language to match it. Now that she is two, she is really polite and is always saying please and thank you. I'm still afraid of the "terrible two" but so far, she's a sweet two (She's been two for almost 2 weeks now). And what is really awesome, you don't have to be a stay at home mom for this to work. I work over 40 hours a week and Brainy Baby has helped me with her education. I've learned a lot too. Please, this is a great DVD. There's children who signs on the DVD as well as adults. Even daycare talks about her using sign language and it h...

Ballroom Dancing is a great advantage on picking up the fine points of dance steps. Whether you are new to dance or have taken a few lessons, this is a good way to learn on your own time.

I found this unusual to dance to. I need structure and this is easily too free form, even though Hemalayaa instructs you. Or maybe, the dance is too mystical and slow. They did some new things with the camera angles such as adding a split screen during some scenes and then in the bonus performance, it was cloudy and the mirroring happened, I stopped it after that. It's basically not to dance to, just to sit back and watch. Rather disappointing.
