This is the CD I have been waiting for. I am an Il Divo fan and this new CD, The Promise, did not disappoint! Amazing Grace brought tears to my eyes while the Power of Love just made me feel peaceful. I just recently lost my Grandfather last week and this CD helped me get through that really rough patch! I would recommend this Cd to anyone, young or old!

I loved the CD. I am a big fan of Il Divo and am happy to have another CD of their music.

I recently received an email featuring Il Divo singing Amazing Grace, As I had already purchased this CD from Overstock, I purchased it for my son (a big city detective who loves classical music) for his birthday. Overstock sent it directly to him and he was thrilled.I have dealt with Overstock for several years now and I give them a 5-star rating for product availability, affordable prices and, most importantly, customer service.

This is a really great CD to listen to. Because of the 4 different male voices and their choice of songs, the CD is very interesting to listen to, and remains interesting, even after numerous "LISTENS." I really like this group, and how they are sounding more cohesive and wonderful with each new recording. They have an active touring schedule around the U.S. and Canada this year, so I would encourage everyone to attend one of their concerts. Once you do, you will be hooked on IL DIVO. They are truly a contemporary group with a very "international" sound, as they record songs in a variety of different languages. This is an excellent CD to give to "someone who has everything." I bought two of these CD's, one as a gift for my friend. He had the same reaction as I did. He keeps playing it and playing it and playing it . . right before he drifts off to sleep. Hearing these men sing is one super experience. My favorite singer is the one from Spain. His classically trained operatic voice LEAPS OFF the CD!!

This CD is just what I needed. I am a stay at home mom to 2 busy little boys and by the end of the day, I need my mommy time. So, I grab my bath salts, scented candles and Il Divo The Promise CD and I take a long, much needed bath. The music is so soft and soothing, helping to calm my nerves and relax easier.

"The Promise" IL Divo's newest cd is a hit with me! I just adore every song on the cd with "Amazing Grace" being my favorite of all.Every song is so beautiful & moving to my spririt deep within my soul.The songs help me to relax & unwind from a hectic day too! I recommend this cd to everyone...you wouldn't be disappointed!

Prior to receiving this CD, I was only minimally aware of Il Divo, the princes of popera. I had seen them on television several times, and knew that they had amazing voices and harmonies. When I first listened to this, I was blown away. These songs truly showcase Il Divo's incredible harmonies. The instrumentals are expertly arranged. The melodies are deceptively simple, yet compelling. Each song is full of pleasant surprises in harmonies, melodies and dynamics. If you listen, and emerge yourself in the music, you will not only be interested, you will also be lost in the music.

This is a great cd for relaxing! The members of Il Divo are definitely hotties, and their voices are even more beautiful than they are! I like to pop this cd into my music player when I'm anxious or stressed, and it immediately soothes me. My favorite track is #4 Halleluja (Aleluya). I'd buy the whole cd for just that song. Luckily, the rest of the songs are great, too!

I just received my Il Divo album The Promise and I am very happy with it. It is compiled of fresh, new music that will be sure to please any Il Divo fan. I love the range of their voices and this was a pleasant treat! It doesn't sound like their typical albums which is a nice change, so many singers put out a ton of songs that all sound alike. In addition to their vocals, they have some great background music. You can FEEL the music, not just hear it. If you are a fan of II Divo, like me, I think you will be very pleased!I especially like the Adagio, Enamorado, Angelina, and my favorite on the CD is Amazing Grace!!

I like this CD very much. It is very unique and very powerful. Great to listen to for unwinding or relaxing. Highly recommend!

I found the CD to be relaxing and enjoyable to listen to everyday. The mix of music and lyrics was a good combination.

I love this CD. It has some really great songs. I like all of them. They are emotional, uplifting, and inspirational. This music is easy listening and most of the lyrics are not in english but I think that's my I love it so much. I think it makes it that much more beautiful! IL Divo sings so beautifully! This music always puts a smile on my face and I recommend this CD to anyone. It will deffinately lift anyone's spirit. At least it lifts mine!

I was excited to get this CD and listen to it as I truly enjoy their music. Their voices are amazing and I always have a hard time believing those voices come out of those bodies! Anyway, I thought this CD was really good, even though I wish the song selection could have been a little better. But...everyone is sure to enjoy Amazing Grace, the Winner Takes it All, Angelina, and all the others. Very relaxing as always...and it won't disappoint. Enjoy!

Il Divo's style of music isn't what I typically listen to, but I was happy to give it a try. Overall, I'd have to say this CD was mediocre. Some songs were nice and deserve to be heard (Hallelujah, Angelina, The winner takes it all), however, other songs were a bit too slow for my liking or didn't seem like anything overly special. Particularly, I felt like the renditions of Adagio and Amazing Grace could have been better done, but I did really love Hallelujah. I've listened to this track many times already. To sum it up, other than certain tracks, this probably isn't a CD that I would listen to over and over, but it makes for enjoyable background music while working.

I listen to classical opera, but am in no way a connoisseur. I had heard of Il Divo, but had not purchased their music in the past. Il Divo has an amazing way of melding four voices together in an operatic quartet on this album. Hearing these romantic ballads in Spanish was beautiful, and allowed me to focus on the actual music and voice range of the four singers. This has to be one of the best renditions of Amazing Grace that I have ever heard, amplified by the beautiful background music and the crispness of the voices (Note that Amazing Grace is the only song in English on the album). I will likely purchase additional Il Divo albums in the future after listening to The Promise. Overall, I think Il Divo is many steps ahead of Josh Groban, but not quite at the original Three Tenors. This album is easy to listen to and would make great background music at a wine tasting or similar party, as well as, everyday listening for the classical opera lover.

This is the first time I have heard of this group and I was pleasantly surprised. I love hearing a good blend of bass and tenor voices and Il Divo delivered. They each have a gorgeous voice that gets even better in a tight harmony. My favorite songs are La Promesa, Hallelujah and Amazing Grace. I don't know that this is a CD that I will listen to over and over because after the first few songs they started to all sound the same but this will be a wonderful addition to my playlist favorites!

IL Divo at their very best! This CD is a collaboration of beautiful love songs. The rich, powerful voices of these four lads from different countries is stimulating to your soul. I got goosebumps while listening and by the time I heard the bagpipes begin to play in "Amazing Grace" tears were flowing down my face.I was amazed at the glorious sound of this classical crossover, pop group! I highly recommend as a gift to those of all ages. The music is soothing and uplifting! Don't miss out!

This CD was given to me as a gift. I had never actually heard Il Divo's music before listening to this disc. The listening experience was nice. Their voices are beautiful as well as the music. Most of the songs are sung in Spanish and they are songs that other artists have done before. I would love to hear them sing more original music in English. The song Hallelujah was my favorite.

i received this cd from one to one network and i was excited because i had watched them on oprah when they first came out but i was disappointed because it is very hard to understand but i did like amazing graze and halleuigh. it was good for free but i would n't pay for it

I enjoyed "The Promise" by Il DIvo. The strength of the voices of these amazingly gorgeous men carries the music into the place that gives me the "goosebumps" I love to feel when listening to a perfectly carried note.My favorite track was "La Luna" , followed by "Angelina" . The way the name was sung was enough to make me want to change my name from Sherri to Angelina.The harmony this group of men (did I mention they are gorgeous?) possesses is such a gift to them and to those of us blessed with listening .I must admit though that I suffered one disappointment .Amazing Grace is such a beautiful song and a perfect opportunity for harmony to move those who are listening and I did not feel that justice was done to this time honored song . The strength of their voices was certainly there , but I found it somewhat lacking in , for lack of a better word , emotion. It seemed that whenever the group has performed this song "live" they have the ability to make it blend into perfection , but somehow they did not manage the same when it was recorded for the album.There are no regrets in having this album in my collection and I look foward to their next one!
