Stay Young 1979-1982 includes INXS` first two records (their 1980 self-titled debut and 1981`s Underneath the Colours), as well as all of the group`s singles and B-sides from the era. Listeners looking for the band`s more focused work of the late `80s and `90s should avoid this compilation, as the two albums that it`s built around contain well-played but fairly forgettable examples of the new wave pop that dominated the age, illuminating a band that was still looking for its voice among a deluge of similar acts. However, for devoted fans of the venerable Aussie rock collective, Stay Young will provide a nice bookend to their collections. ~ James Christopher Monger
