Will this be compatible with PS2 slim?
I bought this because I want to play my PS2 on my HDTV without it looking like garbage. When I have my PS2 connected via yellow white red composite output, the picture is grainy, edges aren't smooth, and it just doesn't look good. Since the PS2 is capable of component output, I wanted to get this so I can have the best possible PS2 gaming experience. Right out of the box, this won't "work." With my fat PS2, I had to go into the system settings and change the video source from RGB composite to Y Cr/Pr Cb/Pb component. This can be done with the composite video cable that you presumably already have with your PS2. Once the settings are changed, connect the component cable to your PS2 and TV and enjoy glorious sub-HD. I don't know for certain what it's outputing in, but I'm guessing it's probably 720i. Regardless, it's much better than the upscaled atrocity that happens with composite....
