      I give a nice cookbook for a wedding gift, being that I gave the sister of the groom Ina Garten's Barefoot Contessa when she was married two years ago, I had to think of a different book, this is a great book for beginners or experienced cooks of all kinds, very informative and great recipes to use.

      This is a great book. While not literally encompassing all possible things one might like to cook, it certainly offers an extensive collection of recipes with nearly endless variations on most. It takes the mystery and perhaps some of the anxiety out of cooking by providing thorough explanations from procedure to choosing ingredients. There are nealy endless illustrations on proper technique and numerous time-saving grids for referencing variations on recipes that are readily modified. As an industry professional, I find it an invaluable resource and HIGHLY recommend it.

      I have many, many cookbooks that I have collected over the years. I purchased this one as I found myself always looking through it at a friend's house. I must say it is one of the best cookbooks in my collection. It is straightforward, easy to understand, and offers up some incredibly easy and tasty recipes.
