Harriet Castor sold her first book for publication at the age of 12. She attended the Royal Ballet School and worked with some of the top dancers there, but gave up dancing for Cambridge University and a history degree.

Holly Clifton-Brown studied at Chelsea School of Art Media & Design, then gained a First class BA honors degree in Illustration. Her work is influenced by her love of folklore and fairy tales.
Pink tights, pink slippers, and a tutu too: it's time to dance! Every little girl dreams of becoming a ballerina, and balletomane Bella and her friends can help that fantasy come true. Would-be White Swans and Giselles follow the journey from first class to full-time ballet school, and then to rehearsals and a brilliant debut under the spotlight. Special items such as lift-the-flaps, a spinning wheel, and ballet certificate involve budding ballerinas in an interactive experience.
