My wife and I sat down to watch 'Hidalgo' on DirecTV and we were immediately entranced into the film. Being based on a true story, Hidalgo starts out in the old west (circa 1890's) and follows a man and his horse through various races and eventually ends up racing in Saudi Arabia. I realize that Hollywood most likely 'dressed up' the film a bit, but we felt that it was done very well and kept our interest throughout the entire film (all 136 minutes). We both gave this film 2 thumbs up and we just had to own it, so we purchased it on Blu-ray DVD to share with our friends.
