Within the last half year, I have taken a strong liking to Sylosis and their musical style. In that time span, I have purchased all 3 full length albums from Sylosis (Conclusion of an Age - 2008 and Monolith - 2012), but still think that 'Edge of the Earth' stands up as their most enjoyable album to date. There are memorable and catchy riffs sprinkled throughout this album that have me reaching for this album more than the others. The thrashy drums that insert delicious fill after delicious fill entertain the ear and keep things interesting throughout. The album also flows extremely well from one song to the other, making a front-to-back listen all that more enjoyable. The musicianship is simply amazing and I am thoroughly excited to see them play their songs live.
