Handbook of Clinical Hypnosis (Book)

College of Osteopathic Medicine) and Irving Kirsch (psychology, U. of Hull) update their anthology to incorporate the considerable new evidence supporting the efficacy of hypnosis in treating many conditions that has come to light over the past 15 years. Though still used primarily for pain abatement, hypnosis is also now used to treat such conditions as anxiety disorders, depression, obesity, nausea, and irritable bowel syndrome.
