Very graphic and disturbing but all true. Maybe if it was required reading we- "the treatment of women" would be in better shape around the world because we wouldn't let our sisters be treated so.
I haven't yet read the book but it's exactly what I thought I was ordering and it came in the time frame it said it would. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This book shines light on a neglected problem in our day- the trafficking and bondage of women in many parts of the world. Nicolas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn travel throughout Asia and Africa to meet with women who have been caught in the modern slave trade in women and discuss their ordeals, From child trafficking and prostitution to honor killings and maternal mortality, the authors show that women in parts of the developing world are still treated as disposable. Instead of being depressing, however, the book is uplifting and inspiring- they tell stories of women who have escaped their captors and are making a difference for others. Amazing book!
