My grandchildren love this book and I love reading it to them!

When my son was 3 years old, he received his first Julia Donaldson books (The Snail and the Whale) and loved it. We were excited when on his fourth birthday; he received "The Gruffalo" and "The Gruffalo's Child." It's one of my family's all-time favorite bedtime books! We love the story and the pictures, too. In fact, I've bought this book and others by Julia Donaldson as gifts for friends and to add to our library. I only have one complaint about my order, when Overstock listed the format as "Hardcover," I assumed this meant it was it was a hardcover book and not a board book. I was disappointed when I received it and it was a board book, especially since it was a gift for a 5-year-old. I love Julia Donaldson¿s books, though and highly recommend them to anyone who has young children.
