The result of a five-year study of companies that rose to the top and stayed there, GOOD TO GREAT identifies the characteristics that lead to success in business. Collins, also the author of BUILT TO LAST (2002), offers ways that companies can plan and change in order to make the climb with confidence over the long term. Eleven companies--out of the original 1,435 examined--are discussed in detail, including Wells Fargo, Fannie Mae, Walgreens, and Kimberley-Clark. Topics covered include Level 5 Leadership, A Culture of Discipline, and Technology Accelerators.

The audio book was an excellent way to spend a road trip visiting clients. It opened avenues to provide better communication and performance which has led my team to increase it's results. I shared the CD with my peers and we are starting to develop our pocket of greatness within our company.

I had the book sent as a gift. I was surprised to learn that the book was not the hardcopy I thought but rather the audio version. I couldn't tell from the product description that it was the audio version. Fortunately, the reader is the author himself and that was ok with the recipient. I would appreciate clear information regarding audio vs hardcover, CD vs DVD etc. I've been pleased with my other Overstock orders.
