I have tried many strength training videos that cost a lot more and this one is, by far, one of the best. Worked all areas of the body especially the arms and shoulders. It even got my heart rate up for a cardio effect at times.
I love this workout. It's exactly what my muscles needed. I use this 2 to 3 times a week along with other cardio workouts. I am definitely feeling and seeing a difference on my body after just a couple of weeks.
This dvd have the option to run the whole workout or just choose to do single excersices if you don't want to do them all or don't have the time to workout for one whole hour. it covers lower and upper boddy exercises and of course the abbs which is my favorit.
This was the last Jari Love video to add to my collection. Like the others, this is a phenomenal workout. Can't tell you how many comments I've had about my appearance!! With dedication, any goals are possible. I have been a video exerciser for the past 25 years; by far, these are the best on the market for advanced fitness levels.
This is my first Jari Love DVD and I really like it! I own lots of other Dvd's - mainly Tae bo and Jillian from Biggest Loser. I consider myself an advanced exerciser (6 times per week) and this workout is hard! I was able to do it but your muscles will be hurting since she works every group to exhaustion. She moves along and doesn't waste time talking as some other instructors do. I really like this workout and hope to see some great results in definition of my arms.
This is a great workout but a little dull. I really love using this a couple times a week for strength building and sculpting. I have noticed the results too! I would recommend this for those looking to sculpt but I warn you, there are no frills to this workout! It's a lot like being with a personal trainer which is awesome although a little boring..
It's very important to make sure you incorporate strength training in addition to your cardio workouts. When I travel or can't get to the gym, this DVD is very easy to follow and gives me a great workout. with just a set of handweights. The music is decent, the choreography is basic form, and the instructor is informative about training muscle groups instead of just perky like in other DVD's. Its very similar to Group Power or Body Pump classes offered nationally in gyms. The DVD is broken down into segments, each exercise/muscle group getting about 5 minutes of work. I also like that if I just want to work one muscle group, the DVD is easy to navigate with the DVD players NEXT button to the exercise I'm looking for instead of just being one continuous that can't be.
As good as my personal trainer. Excellent workout. Not for the faint of heart! Exactly what I wanted. I am pretty fit and I have yet to get through a full session.
The first time I tried this I felt like I was going to throw up. Very intense. Not for the beginner. But if you stick with this lady, I believe you will get ripped (in a good way).
This is the third Get Ripped DVD that I have viewed. It is straight forward and the cueing is good. Love demonstrates proper form, provides alternative positions, indicates how much weight each person in the DVD is using and occasionally gives positive reinforcement to the viewer. I feel it is a great overall workout. The only issue I have with this DVD is that I am supposed to be able to get information on screen as to how many segments are on the video and what segment I am currently on. Sometimes it is helpful to me to see that I am halfway through the DVD so that I can give myself a peptalk into finishing it. The numbering of these segments is not accurate so that is a bit frustrating for me.
I have a library of exercise dvd's that I rotate through a couple of times a week. I consider myself to be in fairly good shape but Jari's "Get Ripped" proved me wrong. This is by far the most intense set of exercises I've ever done. I struggled to complete all the reps the first few times through. After two weeks I was getting compliments from friends about how toned and firmed I looked (especially my buns and thighs). I now exclusively use this dvd and am continuing to see the changes in my body.
I have only done this workout once, but I was very sore (in a good way) the next day! It was different for me to use lower weights and higher reps, but it definitely does the job! Some people may not like the breaks in between the sets, but I personally welcome the "breather" in order to sip some much needed water. Jari Love will give you the best workout and shake up your routine. I highly recommend this DVD!
Awesome workout! Difficult because of the number of reps for each area of the body worked. Very thorough instruction before each segment. Well done and the instructor is good. The set is on the dark side, but tasteful. I was sore after the first time I did this video.
I take a regular gym boby pump class and I've got to tell you that this work out is better than the class I've been taking for the last 3 months!!
By far one of the best weight/strength training videos. Jari Love is in your living room, one on one with you. You feel like you have your own personal trainer the way she moves you into the next step. You will see result in 2 workouts!
This is the second DVD of hers that I have purchased and WOW, you will be sore after this super intense workout. Jari does it again and I loved it!
