skyqueenrenee from Knoxville, TN, Rating:4.0As other reviewers have mentioned, this book is an excellent resource, however some of the information on diet is out of date. We are new suggie owners and I have done hours of research, reading everything I can find. Hopefully other new owners will also do lots of research and not rely only on this book, especially on their diets. And the pictures are wonderful, not to mention adorable!

cornball72 from Ronan, Montana, Rating:5.0This book is a real comic. As I have a duck of my own, and a dog, I can relate to some of the situations in the book. The author definitely is true in character when describing the many things that arise in raising different types of critters. It is uplifting, and will keep you wondering what will happen next in the lives of those who make a home for some of the unwanted creatures placed in our hands, to raise and to love. I have ordered several books to give to my grown children who have also taken on the responsibility of raising animals, large and small.
