A Woman of Fortune by Kellie Coates Gilbert You are sure to fall in love with Claire Massey as she loses everything, family, home, fortune and every material thing you can imagine but the inner strength she finds is amazing. A Woman of Fortune is a fantastic book. One thing that really stood out to me is how far the consequence of our sin hurts not only us but others. I found myself emotional drawn to Claires story and how she handled betrayal, heart break and humility with grace. If I was to take one thing away from this story it would be you can survive the unthinkable. Family, true friends and faith is all that really matter not material things. The author Kellie Coates Gilbert is an outstand writer. This book is skillfully written with well developed characters. I can only hope the author continues this story. If you like Christian Fiction you are sure to love a Woman of Fortune, I give it 5 stars. I want to give a high-five to the author Kellie Coates Gilbert and Revell for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. I was provided with this book in exchange for my honest review and I am so grateful for the authors and publishers generosity.

Here to Stay by Melissa Tagg Here to Stay is a great contemporary Christion fiction. Autumn Kingsley sets aside her dreams to run the family inn when all she has ever wanted was to see the world. The prodigal son, Blake Hunziker returns home after traveling the world over. Tired of running he comes home to put down roots. Autumn and Blakes families remind me of the Hatfields and McCoys but they put aside their families differences and team up to save the town by co coordinating the Christmas festival. You are sure to fall in love with the homey town of Whisper Shore and the characters too. This novel is well thought out, the characters are well developed, full of wit and heartwarming romance that will keep you turning the pages. Here to Stay is the second book by Melissa Tagg, but her first, Made to Last will find its way into my to be read pile. I give Here to Stay five stars. I want to thank the author Melissa Tagg and publisher Bethany House for bringing good clean Christian books like this one to readers like me. I would also like to thank The Book Club Network Inc. for providing me with this book in exchange for my honest review.

Until I Found You by Victoria Bylin I really enjoyed this book. Victoria Bylin is a new author to me, but I plan to find more of her books. I found her style of writing to be fun, full of faith and realistic. You are sure to fall in love with the storyline and characters. Nick Sheridan comes to the rescue of Kate Darby more than once. He is not proud of his past as a bestselling author, but as a new Christian has the chance to save Kates grandmothers newspaper and write about the important things. Kate puts her career on hold to help her grandmother Leona when she has a stroke. Nick may be her hero but wants so much more. I was intrigued by all the information on Leonas beloved condors. I give Until I Found You 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys Christian, contemporary and romance fiction I want to thank the author Victoria Bylin and publisher Bethany House for bringing good clean Christian books like this one to readers like me. The Dream Dress by Janice Thompson Gabi Delgado dreams of being a dress designer, she has the talent but not the confidence. Her boss is a nightmare to work for and fires her at the drop of a hat and then expects her to come back at his beck and call. It seems all the men in her life have let her down, how can she be expected to give her all to a heavenly father when the earthly guys have proved unworthy. Life for Gabi takes an upward turn when Jordan Singer a reporter for Texas Bride Magazine, does a feature article on Haute Couture Bridal the shop she works for and one of there brides. With the help of Jordan and good friend Bella, Gabis spirit soars and her view of God the Father and men in general become increasingly positive. This is the first book I have read by author Janice Thompson. I found her writing style to be easy to follow and enjoyable. I fell in love with this storyline. With each book I read I find the author leaves a little part of herself or himself behind. In this case it was the story of creation that touched a part of my inner most being. Like never before I understand the teaching of creation and how God is in the business of creating. With the help Holy Spirit, He stirs within each of us and gives us the ability to create too. I give The Dream Dress five stars. I highly recommend it to all readers who enjoy contemporary, romance, and Christian fiction. I want to thank the author Janice Thompson and publisher for bringing good clean Christian books like this one to readers like me. I was provided with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Although fiction, this novel is lively and thoroughly researched for period flavor and circus detail. I know of few other such books set in the world under the canvas as realitically portrayed as this; "The Catch Trap" comes to mind, but that story is set a couple decades later than this Depression-era work. The author has done much of her research first-hand, with interviews and several trips to circus museums and communities. As explained in the excellent book-club discussion inluded as an extra feature at the back, it took Sara Gruen's efforts to win many old performer's trust before they would reveal the most personal details of thier lives. I knew Depression life was harsh, but in this sub-culture of show business, the violence and shocking cruelty not only to animals as well as other humans was an eye-opener. Call me naive, I suppose. Wonderful archival photos are included at every chapter heading, and they are delights to have along with the lively prose. I am just sorry that I came to this book so late, after it had been published in paperback. Highly engaging story, and a must-read for any circus lover!
