The Fox Fire Books are abosolutely wonderful. They are actual people telling about how life used to be and how they did things. They also go into detail on how to weave, make soap, moonshine, etc. I am slowly purchasing them all, cause the information is fascinating. The way things used to be done was all about survival and how to make do with nothing. The only draw back is that you have no idea about this information unless someone tells you, the title really tells you nothing. I've not only gone through mine, but loaned them to a friend and he thinks they are worth reading also.
