This is a really great book for the advanced beginner or intermediate knitter, especially if you like not having to seam your garments.
This is the most stunning book of knitting designs I've ever seen. Never before has a book had more than 1 or 2 patterns I would seriously consider, but with Fitted Knits, I have picked out seven sweaters to make! Stefanie Japel's designs are stylish, flattering (unusual for most knitting patterns!), and wearable by women like myself who aren't stick-thin. The Victorian styling on some of the sweaters is breathtaking, and my knitting group passed this book around with envious eyes (and plans to order it themselves!). Highly recommended.
Glampyre has done a great job with simple shaping techniques and elegant design in this book. The instructions are concise, the projects are beautiful and the techniques are accessible. Love the chance to make knits that fit and flatter the female form.
love this book, can't wait to get knitting. arrived in great condition and super fast.
On page 19, you need a strong pair of glasses to be able to read the text. I felt as if I was experiencing vision problems, very blurry.
Initially, I was skeptical about buying this book. I'm not model thin and tend to equate "fitted" sweaters for those with model shapes. However, Stephanie Japel has written a wonderful book of sweaters that can flatter anyone! The layout is beautiful and there's something for everyone from sweaters for daily wear to special occasions. The information for getting a better fit is good and the garments are given a knitting skill level. I'm very glad I took a chance and bought this book. I will definitely be using it!
