    Amphigorey Too is another of the collected editions of the work of Edward Gorey. If you've read and enjoyed Gorey before, this book is more of the same. For the unintiated, Edward Gorey was a writer/illustrator who lived from 1925 to 2000. He had a very detailed, yet casual drawing style and a penchant towards dark, dry, and somewhat absurd humor. The Amphigorey books are collected volumes of his short works. The quality of the individual pieces in each volume varies, but they all have some value. A number of his stories are rhyming poems about darkly absurd subjects and events. His work could easily be described as dark humor, along the same lines as Charles Adams and Gahan Wilson, but generally in the form of illustrated short stories instead of single panels. If you like the films and books of Tim Burton there is a good chance you'll enjoy Edward Gorey. If any of this sounds appealing I'd recommend buying one of the Amphigorey books, to see for yourself.
