The Men's Health Big Book of Exercises is an excellent resource for everyone who wants to get in shape. It not only gives advice on proper form, it also offers the reader a variety of workout plans designed to accomplish different things. What is perhaps most valuable about the book is that it offers people interested in getting in shape a lot of variety, at different levels of difficulty, so that your work outs don't become monotonous. On top of that, it offers a convincing argument for staying away from weight machines.

The book that comes with it is awful. I really think that incorporating regular exercise routines into my day will work better than these silly, air-filled, weightless balls. I will continue to use my stability ball along with a medicine ball. As I stated above, I will not purchase anything else without proper research. No point in returning as it will cost almost as much to ship back as the product costs. Don't waste your money.

I bought this BOSU ball exercise book, a cando vestibular/balance training dome, and a book on using an exercise ball doing Pilates approach all together. I took all three to Physical Therapy, and the Physical Therapy tech played around with the dome trainer, and kept browsing through the books I brought in. My PT is a certified Pilates trainer as well, and is looking through the books to see which exercises I can/should (or should not) perform, due to the genetic issues I have with my spine, and joints. I wanted a challenge and variation for my home physical therapy routine, and so my PT will use these books, the exercise equiptment I have available at home, to help me put together several routines for me, that I can switch out on various days. (So I don't get bored with PT). I like this cando dome better than the BOSU brand I had been using at PT. I am excited to try out the different exercises.

This book doesn't have every exercise known to man, but it has the basics and several variations of the basics - and some that I didn't expect to be in here. It has a slew of great workout plans and is very in depth about form, muscle anatomy and the like. I keep it in my gym bag for reference for mixing up my exercises.

If you are interested in the chemistry, physiology, and neuroscience of exactly how exercise makes us feel better, this is the book. He does a great job making this material entertaining (although it is still science!). Makes a great case for exercise as therapy (both cognitive and pharmacological).

I have the P90X series and this is a great book. similar workouts, great food chart. If looking for a change in diet and exercise. I 100% recommend this book.

This book is informative and practical. The diagrams are helpful and there is a DVD which demonstrates two most common exercises for the abs. I am convinced that I can do the 15 minutes a day.

This was a good book at a better price than I could get from Rodale even though I subscribe to their magazine. I can use the exercises to mix and match and tailor to my own routines to continue progressing in training.

Plus, you get variations on the moves. There's also a section on the diet & exercise plan, warm-up exercises, cardio & nutrition. If only, they published it in a spiral notebook!
