Esperanza Spalding CD - Jazz/R&B
I caught this young lady on David Letterman one sleepless night and liked her so much -- as did David ('You were right, Paul, she's great.' or similar words... I wasn't fast enough to remember her name long enough to write it down due to my awe and delight with her amazing talent and vocals. However, I did look for her CD at several of the few remaining places you can still buy CD's without any luck. I tried to find David's show on line with his line ups, again without luck.. I also tried other on-line music links also to naught. In the past I was able buy very hard to find things through "O" so between baking and wrapping gifts, I took time to search with little hope... but something was right with the world that day, Oh Joy, O'Yeah!!! within two minutes I found her -- not by name but by the cover pic... Thanks to "O" including the CD cover in their product list, I recognized her pretty face and hair plus she was holding her acoustic bass which was all the indicator I needed... This CD was sooo worth the discovery, trapsing all over and finally locating it thru "O". Esperanza is an extremely talented acoustic bass instrumentalist and an equally tallented vocalist. This CD is definitely worth the wait and $$.
