Although not my favorite Jane Austen book, I still love it. I bought this copy because I already knew I loved the story. Emma is perhaps Jane Austen's most likeable character by today's standards, as she shows that she has more flaws than Austen's other leading ladies. The only negative about this version is that it has no notes to explain language which is out of date. So, if you are buying this for a younger person, you may want to keep that in mind.
