On its third full-length outing, SWITZERLAND, the Motor City ensemble Electric Six unveils another "high-voltage" set of glam-tinged, club-ready rockers. Often sounding like the Sweet and the Cult mashed up by the Fischerspooner boys, the band, fronted by the ever-theatrical Dick Valentine, launches into ridiculous synth-heavy numbers such as "I Buy the Drugs" and "Night Vision." Those looking for evidence of the group`s garage-rock roots will find it on the superbly silly, revved-up "Mr. Woman," which stands out as one of the record`s gleefully garish highlights.
