Description:
Eclectic patterns, 1930s reproduction fabric, and comforting combinations fill this intriguing book based on quilts made from fabric bought with money from farm wives` egg sales. Harking back to days when quilt patterns were printed in the local paper, designs such as "Rocky Road to Kansas," "Dresden Plate," and that eternal classic "Double Wedding Ring" are shared here with detailed directions. Samplers of all kinds are shown, along with a variety of other projects, including wall hanging and aprons. Accompanied by full-color photographs, how-to illustrations, quilt yardage charts, and patterns.

This is an excellent book. The information is clear. There are a lot of extras in the book; i.e. recipes, size options, templates, patterns, and instructions for other items (bags, aprons, etc.). Plus the book is spiral bound. Excellent value. The book also includes a little history of the 1930's quilts.
