Economics In One Lesson should be required reading for every politician as well as every thinking voter and American citizen. Hazlitt explains everything in a most lucid manner which is a pleasure to read. In addition I would recommend Ayn Rand's works beginning with Atlas Shrugged. Also enlightening is The Creature From Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin about the origins of the Federal Reserve and the history of central banking in American history up to this day. Tom Woods books Meltdown and Nullification are eye opening as is Ron Paul's The Revolution: A Manifesto and End The Fed. Many excellent articles at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx high school and college or university students will find xxxxxxx worthwhile and a source of optimism and hope.
The one lesson everyeconomist should learn is to look at the whole picture. We must not look only at direct effect of action but the inderect effect which we may not see. Great book. Fast read. Easy to comprehend. Big letters.
