4.5 out of 5I bought this book after seeing the author talk about it on TV. It is both informative and entertaining. It is full of color photos and covers everything from fast food and chain restaurants to canned soup. If it is prepared food, it's probably in there. It's easy to read with the "eat this" food on the left page and the "not that" on the right for easy comparison. I would recommend this book to anyone who often eats out or takes in. You'll never look at food the same way again.
Lots of good stuff in this book. Read it for tips on how to make small changes that will save you money and provide health benefits by making a few changes in yur eating and buying habits. We were so impressed we gave copies of the book to our friends as Christmas gifts.
I bought this book for my son who is in college to help him make better food choices. I read it first and think they did a great job with pictures and information to point out that small changes can produce weight loss benefits.
I saw this book on several talk shows recently and thought I'd get it. Very informative. Glad I bought it. Now I know the "smarter" choices both at home and when we're eating out.
This book is great! It really gives you ideas of things to eat at places you actually go! Also, really helpful for ideas of what to buy at the grocery store!
This book is amazing and a real eye opener. A MUST have for anyone who wants to eat healty. Not a diet book - mainly a guide that makes you thnk about what you're eating. Worth every penny.

I have always been a kinda Health nut . A lot of this information I was already aware of. However, this book contains a lot of info I was not aware of and I would reccomend this book to everyone as a chance to learn more about healthy choices we make that are really not healthy especially when it come to eating out at restaurants and fast food places. This book is well worth the money.
This book gave me information that my family can use when we eat out so that we can reduce calorie and fat intake. The " At The Supermarket" section is excellent for helping me make better choices. There are so many products that claim they are better for us, but can have hidden calories, fat and sugar that are not good. I refer to this section more than any other.North Carolina
Once again a book to keep by the kitchen table. Helps out when you are making a list for the store or making choices right at home. It's not like a diet. It's just making good choices on the food we eat everyday. I recommend any of these books very highly!

This book contains great information for all of us on the go! If you eat out, you must have this book! The caloric and nutritional information of most meals will surprise you! I keep this book in my car for a quick reference. It's great!
I have read a lot of diet books over the years and did not expect to find any new information in these books. Was I wrong. What an eye opener. This will change how I eat and the choices I make. I have already recommended this book to several friends who were equally impressed.

I agree with others that this book could have used a few more suggestions when it came to resaurant meals, but I really liked it anyway! It has some good information about calories, fat, and carb content in restaurant, supermarket, and at home meals and drinks. It has a top 20 worst foods to eat in America--very interesting (and surprising)! And, it has sections to tell you healthy foods to eat everyday, and other ones to "avoid at all costs".--Buy it, you'll like it.--It also has a kids section!
I really like this book, plan on getting the others in the series.
Interesting to read but I was disappointed that half the book is for choosing what to eat at certain restuarants but only one selection is given.
Very informative book. Changed my way of shopping, cooking and ordering at restaurants. I feel I am making healthier choices because of what I learned from the book.
