With five number-one singles and four number-one albums, two of which are among the best-selling records of all time, the group has helped form the backbone of classic rock; hits like Desperado, Hotel California, and Lyin` Eyes are instantly recognizable and timeless. After helping to popularize the Southern California rock sound of the `70s, the group--at this point made up of Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Timothy Schmit--broke up to pursue solo projects, but reunited in 1994 in recognition of the ever-loyal fans who still wanted to see them playing together. This 2004 concert, held in Melbourne, Australia, during The Eagles` monumental farewell tour, was one of the highlights of this historic world event, as one of the most popular American bands of all time says goodbye to its countless adoring fans.

I feel I got the best bargin in the world when I purchased my Eagles Farewell Tour CD-DVD Live. I could watch it for hours and actually feel like I am at the concert right in my livingroom, surround sound and up just enough to give you that get into the action, singing, dancing mode. Bummed
I bought this for my girlfriend recently, and found out it won't play on a non HD player. Evidently HD players were in limited production, but lost out to Blue Ray and so you can't find them. That's my understanding anyway. Fortunately, and in good customer service fashion, Overstock.com sent me a return label to send it back without question. That's awesome!

This DVD is great for anyone that likes the Eagles. The are one of the most talented bands in music still to this day. My whole family has enjoyed sitting and watching this DVD.
