My son enjoyed this book thoroughly! He used and made reference to it for a long time.

I have been an avid Dungeons and Dragons player for many years, and just recently decided to purchase a new PHB as I have passed down my previous one to a friend. I was very happy with the brand-new quality of this item and the prompt shipping that overstock gave me. No bent corners or scratches whatsoever. Although the book's material is not at all new to me, I will compliment the wonderful layout and superb illustrations that lay within, along with an abundance of necessary and detailed information on playing the game. I would recommend this player's handbook to anyone who has become interested in D&D, it is a reference that every player should own. A great purchase, I don't regret it!

The best part of this book is how interesting it is to look at, and how fun D&D is. You will find yourself staring at the detailed drawings as you look through the multitude of well laid out statistics, descriptions, and tables full of tons of useful information to get you started making your character and adventuring with friends. the pages are glossy, thick, and easy to turn. Although I wouldn't give it to a child, they would be awed by the colorful art. The only real issue with the book is the ease at which the text smears with any tiny amount of liquid or force of your fingers. Make sure to only touch the edges of the pages and you will not have any issue. It's as if the text was painted with pen ink on top of the glossy pages. Besides that, there's nothing to complain about. I would have given its value 5 stars if the text ink didn't smear so easily.

I have been away from RPG's for years. I am excited by the new DnD 3.5E. The new skills and feats let you customize your character quite a bit. I recommend this new version of dungeons and dragons to anyone who wants to get back into the game or wants to try for the first time!
