The movie ships with few extras but introduces one of the Tom Selleck action/comedy films he made during his Magnum P.I. days. I personally loved the movie, because it had a slight flair of Indiana Jones and early 20th century adventuring in the Far East. The cast was comprised of several high-caliber actors (Brian Blessed, WIlford Brimley), as well as the lovable Bess Armstrong. She plays a rather snooty socialite looking for her Father (Brimley) before a hostile takeover of her Father's company leaves her without an inheritance. She hires ne'er-do-well Tom Selleck pilot and his comic relief partner to fly tandem propellor planes around the mid-to-far East in search of her Father. Mishaps and adventures along the way, including a dog-fight with a German 'ace' are part of the charm.
Is it believable? Certainly not. But enjoyable? Absolutely.
By the way, Bess Armstrong is probably best remembered for her Jaws 3D role alongside Dennis Quaid.
