While the DVD promotes seeing Dandridge performing in concert, it is more of clips of her in past films and her rise to fame. The film is still worthy of mention and something to collect for the addition of Black American History. This was a performer who fought her way to the top and still held onto her values and morals without compromising. A classy lady who fought to the bitter end. The price is well worth it and plays more for documentary value than a musical performance. It shows the best and worst of how Hollywood classified its performers by their color. This is a nice reflective piece.
