It's one of those shows I remember fondly from my childhood. Now that I have four small children of my own, I've struggled to find shows that are fun for them, and also teach good morals. This show is fantastic.
My children have been bouncing around the house, drinking their "gummybeary juice".
It is a show that engages children's interest, and lets them use their imagination. They are transported to a magical world.
Another bonus, is how many episodes you're getting...this is like 10 hours of new shows for the kids. My kids will watch one show before bedtime. Or, like today...I have a sick one cuddled up on the couch. He is one that will rarely sit still for television, and I'm glad that I have something that captures his imagination enough to keep him down while he recovers.

I remembered the theme song to this show from childhood and nothing else. I bought this set recently, and enjoyed it thoroughly. The group of gummie bear characters is developed like a family, who, despite loving for each other, still get into the common spat. This lends a bit of accessibility and groundedness to the characters for the viewer, despite the "magic and adventure" that fills the show. The animation is quite smooth in comparison to other shows of the 80's and early 90's, too. The designs are "cute" looking, but this is definitely an action-adventure show set in the dark ages, not a comedy (though there are elements of humor, too).
I found it fun, creative and entertaining, and wow, does that theme song ever get stuck in my head! :).

I enjoyed watching this program when my children were little. It's great to be able to watch the episodes again. I hope to be able to watch wih my grandchildren some day.

I purchased this DVD collection for my 4 year old son and he really enjoys watching the Gummi Bears now. My husband and I even enjoy watching this with him which is a really rare. It's good, clean entertainment for the whole family. I would highly recommend this DVD set to anyone looking for something the entire family will enjoy watching.
