I am not a die-hard fan of Stephen King, but I do recognize his talent. I bought this book because I wanted to read the short story that was the basis for The Shawshank Redemption; one of my favorite films of all times. This book did not disappoint. Both profound and moving, it was a page turner. Loved to compare the story to the script. Would recommend.
