From his 2009 LP, SOUNDS LIKE LOVE, it`s hard to conceive that five years earlier Darryl Worley stirred up a storm with his 9/11 reflection, "Have You Forgotten." Opening track "Honky Tonk Life" contains one of the more humble and earnest travelogues of a country musician`s touring life, from the joy of the stage to the frustration of finding food, and features a nice vignette of the singer`s felicitous reaction to a groupie (flattered but spoken for). It`s a microcosm of Worley`s world, a gentle, even tender one of happiness in love, warmth in memory, and clear conviction of right and wrong.
