I recommend this collection to fans of old public domain movies. Not quite as good as the 50 Mystery Classics Movie Pack, but good enough. The films are all from the 1930's to the 1960's so I doubt that anyone but the most sensitive viewers will be scared by them even though they are called Dark Crimes. The drawbacks are that 6 of the "movies" are actually TV plays of the STUDIO ONE ilk (entertaining, but I prefer feature films). Many of the movies have some edits in them but at least two (THINGS HAPPEN AT NIGHT and GUEST IN THE HOUSE ) have a lot of footage missing from the original theatrical releases. Also, since these are public domain titles the print quality ranges from decent to mediocre. If you insist on KINO or Criterion DVD quality prints, you'll be disappointed. Finally, there is a Mill Creek Entertainment logo that pops up in the corner of the screen at times that may annoy some people. Overall a very good deal for the money.
